The best memories of my life have involved exercise -- from knocking a marathon off my bucket list to climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to walking the sites in Paris. Even 17 years later, my college teammates are still my closet friends despite the miles that separate us. Yet, I am not immune to the struggles that all mothers experience; self-care and fitness have a tendency to fall to the wayside in the vast task of motherhood.
Personally, I probably blew off FIT4MOM at least a few times. There was no way that my 5 and 7-year-old would agree to sit in a stroller, and I wasn’t a stay-at-home mom. But, I happy that Laura O’Leary continued to nudge me to try a free class. I was already active…a certified Pilates apparatus instructor…sporadically following weightlifting routines…running routinely with my dog, but HIIT (while also paying closer attention to my diet!) was definitely the missing element of my exercise routine. Nothing is better than getting a meaningful strength and cardio workout…AT THE SAME TIME. No busy mom can argue with capitalizing on multi-tasking. As a FIT4MOM instructor, it is my goal to make you fall in love with the results that happen when you elect to take a precious hour for yourself!
